You should think of your website as your 24 hour a day spokesman, working for you every hour, of
every day, of every week all around the world.
You will hear us describe a website as an organic creation; by this we mean it will evolve with your
business, continually growing to meet your needs and requirements. Many of our clients are now
saving thousands of pounds every year by having reduced their reliance on press advertising in
favour of an increased internet presence.
For example an advert taken in the local press is not only expensive but it is usually only seen for one
day. If the publication doesn’t give you a good position many people may not even see it at all! And
then there is The Yellow Pages! Have you seen how much their book is shrinking by every year? This
is simply because its use is being replaced by people searching for products and services
on-line.
Design Consultation
The first step is a meeting with you and your team (if applicable) for us to learn the specifics of your
business. During this session we will ask you what makes your business unique, who your typical clients
are and where you usually find them.
We will want to know about your products and services and who your competitors are. We will also
need to know the key words and phrases that best describe your business.
From this meeting we would hope to gather enough information to be able to present a design theme to
you, usually within 10 - 14 days. From here the design can be adapted or changed to suit your views and requirements.
Once a working design has been created we build the site and upload it to one of our own web servers for you to view
before going ‘live’ on the internet.
The Construction Process
The next step is to establish the best website domain names for your business, this is a vitally important part of gaining a
higher overall ‘Google Score’. It is usually advisable for your business to have as many (.co.uk, .com, .org) options as
possible in order to prevent cloning by a competitor. Many of our clients have a variety of domain names, all interlinking with
each other in order to provide the best possible SEO results.
Following a successful domain name purchase, we would typically proceed as follows:
- Ask you to gather together all the relevant material you
would like to incorporate into your new site.
- Create a home page and, if required, an internal site
page, these are produced to allow you to ‘get a feel’
for your new site and for you to suggest any changes.
- Once you are happy, the complete site is then built for
your final approval, enabling you to make the final
‘tweaks’ to the project, and for us to test the site
before going live.
- Finally, the completed project will be ‘made live’ on
your web space, allowing you and your clients free
access to the site.
Pricing
Building a website is much like building a house, the original design tends to change as clients offer
their input to our creative ideas. As a result we tend to offer an estimate of the price for your website
build; this will be based on our many years of experience with hundreds of satisfied clients.
A basic website can cost as little as £100.00 plus VAT but this type of site is very difficult to get any
Google position for, simply because it is not going to have sufficient pages to create a presence.
For most small businesses, a minimum of 5 pages are required, text is very important
because this is what the Search Engine reads about you but it must also contain good
images and preferably some video and/or modern scripting functions for Google to
take it seriously.
